Mufaddal Saifuddin has started a new way of doing ziyarat during Syedna Burhanuddin’s Urus – by throwing a mountain of ghilaafs on the qabr. What is the point of this? If this is indeed correct, why didn’t Syedna Burhanuddin ever do this?

Utterly bizarre. They printed marsiyas in Hindi so Prime Minister Modi and (then) Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan can chant along when they are prayed aloud in majlis. How does no one question these ridiculous practices?

Dubai Amil’s araz
Here is an audio of Dubai Amil, Kinana Jamaluddin, doing araz for Ashara from last year. When listing what they have “brought”, first comes the letter from local government. Then he lists their ibadat amal, matam, nazrul maqam etc. Clearly, he knows well what the boss prioritizes.

Mufaddal Saifuddin is mid-sentence in Ibrahim Nabi’s zikr when he stops and practically runs out to receive the Prime Minister. No respect for his own bayaan – clearly that was just time pass until the main event started. What a mockery…
